Cape York 4x4 Adventure Part 1 — Jervis Bay to Chili Beach | Epic Off-Road Trip Australia

Описание: Join Michael and me as we kick off an epic journey from Jervis Bay, NSW, all the way to Chili Beach in Far North Queensland — the first chapter in our Cape York Adventure Series, where we ultimately aim for the Tip of Australia! 🇦🇺

We’re tackling this trip in two Hilux's — my trusty 2001 SR5 KZN165R turbo-diesel (green) and Mick’s 2008 SR5 D4D Hilux. Two rigs, two mates, and thousands of kilometers of dirt roads, river crossings, and tropical chaos ahead.

This episode covers the long road north: from coastal highways to red-dirt tracks, flooded creeks, and wild tropical campsites. What starts as a casual drive quickly turns into a proper outback mission.

After leaving Jervis Bay, we head north to Casino, camping under the stars before rolling into Glen Eden Family Farm — just days after a massive tropical storm tore through. The bridges were washed out, the paddocks flooded, and we jumped straight in to help rebuild: tractors in the river, ropes flying, and even a bullock team lending muscle the old-fashioned way!

Once the bridge is back up, the adventure continues through backroads and bush camps all the way to Townsville, tackling rain, mud, and the reality of living out of the 4x4s. From there, we venture through Cape Tribulation, where the first of many river crossings begin — deep water, rainforest tracks, and that raw Cape energy.

Finally, we hit the Peninsula Development Road (PDR) — the start of the real remote north — before rolling onto Chili Beach, one of Queensland’s most breathtaking stretches of sand, where we 4WD right along the shoreline as the sun sets over the Coral Sea.

This trip had everything: mud, storms, mate ship, mechanical fixes, and pure freedom. It’s Part 1 of a multi-episode journey that’ll take us right to the northernmost point of Australia, and this is just the beginning!
