Log business mileage and expenses in seconds — no paid app needed. In this tutorial you’ll build a free Google Forms to Google Sheets system that automatically saves each entry (including receipt uploads) to a spreadsheet you can access anywhere.
You’ll create two quick forms:
• Mileage Log (purpose + starting/ending odometer)
• Expense Log (amount + optional details + receipt upload)
Quick tips:
• For faster entry, you can convert fields to dropdowns instead of short answer (where it makes sense).
• To add a form to your phone home screen, make sure you copy the responder link (open the form from your Google Drive if needed → Send → link).
• You can enter mileage or expenses via the forms right from your phone or directly in the spreadsheet on your computer/phone.
