I Waited Three Hours for a Kingfisher // Bird Photography

Описание: Today I headed out to a large game refuge that I have not visited in a few weeks. This refuge has a mixture of habitats including nice streams and mixed forests. As I was walking in I heard the chattering of a belted kingfisher by the brook, so I decided to check it out. I ended up finding a pair of kingfishers near their burrow. I had unfortunately scared off the kingfishers in the morning so I decided to move on and return to the area in the afternoon. I hiked into the forest where I had seen owls in the past and ended up locating a small herd of white-tailed deer.
I returned to the brook where I had seen the kingfishers and ended up waiting for three hours for them to return. During that time I had an unexpected visit from a bald eagle that ended up catching a fish from the brook.
