Demanchi Hotel by The Leaf is located in Kalam valley, in Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is the site where the Swat River forms as a result of the confluence of two major tributaries, the Gabral and Ushu rivers. It is located at an elevation of about 2,000 m, at a distance of 100 km north from Mingora and around 5 hours drive from Islamabad. There are several evident mountains around the hotel which are also visible from Matiltan, a valley close to Kalam Valley, including Mount Falak Sar at 5,918 m, and another unnamed peak at 6,096 m
