Hypnagogia: The threshold between wakefulness and sleep, where insight appears before the mind interferes.
This state usually lasts for 10 minutes and has been known to lead to incredibly powerful insights, inventions, lucid dreams, and spiritual experiences. This sound bath aims to extend that state indefinitely to allow for a greater number of and more powerful experiences.

*More About Hypnagogia*
Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Salvador Dalí, and many other notable thinkers and creatives believed this state held the secrets to their next great discovery, invention, or creative vision.
These thinkers had various methods for extending this 10-minute state usually centered around holding something heavy that would make a loud noise when they fell asleep and slipped from their hands. This disturbance would slightly wake them and keep them in an extended period of hypnagogia.
*Why?*
Now, neuroscience now explains how this works:
In hypnagogia, brain waves slow into alpha and theta. The analytical mind quiets. The subconscious opens.
