At 3.46pm on Sunday, 8 March Scottish Fire and Rescue were alerted to reports of a building fire on Union Street, Glasgow. Operations control mobilised 6 appliances to the scene soon after the officer in charge requested a further 3 appliances by 2am there were 18 fire appliances & 3 aerial ladder platforms on scene
Supported by command unit & welfare unit
A high volume pump was required to assist with water supply this was set up at the river Clyde where they pumped water from the Clyde to the fire ground
At 9am 9th march I went to the fire scene at this time it was scaled down to 9 fire appliances & 3 aerial appliances supported by the command unit n welfare unit
