Let's restore the gas tank and sending unit on the 1971 Olds Cutlass so the gauge works again

Time to drop the gas tank on the car as we have a gauge that is pegged way past full, this is a common ailment for cars of this age and looks like someone has either replaced the tank or the sender before. We also find some interesting things in the tank and do a bit of rust restoring with Rust Oleum Rust Restorer along with replacing the old rubber fuel lines. It's a dirty job but very rewarding as we also siphon out 12 gallons of gas and throw into the wife's Subaru. All the rubber hoses get replaced and this knocks out more scaly rust from the undercarriage of our restoration in California so it will never see another winter again.
