Practical garden advice for how to get a garden started

Plant something easy now. This is the perfect time of year to add bulbs and they’re actually SUPER hard to get wrong. Plant now in a small patch — you’ll be so proud of your flowers come spring time.

Plant a container. Worried about where to start in your garden? Plant up a container first — place it on your patio so you can walk past it often and be impressed with your pretty flowers.

Start small. You don’t need a full garden transformation all at once — chances are, your plant tastes might change as you explore gardening. So here’s what I recommended. Remove a small corner by your mailbox, your front steps, your back steps— somewhere that you will see often and bring you joy… and plant a small trio of plants that will make you smile 😊
