Today's Signed Story with Leanne is called Freddie and the Fairy by Julia Donaldson & Karen George using Total Communication (mixture of British Sign Language - BSL, Sign Supported English - SSE, gesture and the spoken word).

The story is about a boy called Freddie who's desperate for a pet, so when he rescues a fairy she offers to grant him his wishes. The only problem is she can't hear very well and Freddie mumbles. Luckily the Fairy Queen is on hand to explain a few deaf awareness rules and strategies that we can all follow!
