► Okay! So I FINALLY played Final Fantasy IV. I always heard it was ONE of the best Final Fantasy's. Being behind final fantasy 6, 9, and 7. So here's my opinion. It's OKAY, for a final fantasy game. It was definitely an improvement over 3 that's for sure. Cecil was a GREAT protagonist. I LOVED Golbez. Had a crush on Rydia. The gameplay was superb. However, story wise... it just didn't stick with me. First off, I hated that Cecil and his friends kept taking L's and losing the crystal. Second, I HATED that certain party members would leave your party after I SPENT HOURS LEVELING THEM UP! (I'm looking at you Edward and Yang) Third, everytime something went wrong, people had to sacrifice themself. Some of the people that sacrificed themselves, ended up alive. Which made no sense. Especially in the case of Cid. Watch the video and you will see what I mean. Lastly, the final boss or “Main” villain was lame like the cloud of darkness from final fantasy 3. I don't know why 4 is held up in such high regard but the story was OKAY. Not GREAT! Just OKAY. Anyways, enough with my rant. (So no 3D models here) Final Fantasy IV is a role-playing video game developed and published by Square. (now Square Enix). It is the fourth main installment of the Final Fantasy series. The game's story follows Cecil, a dark knight, as he tries to prevent the sorcerer Golbez from seizing powerful crystals and destroying the world. He is joined on this quest by a frequently changing group of allies.
