We have our first mission for Task Force Ranger today. Adid's financial chief, Osman Otto, operates a warehouse where they are outfitting trucks with fifty-caliber machine guns. We need to capture those technicals and destroy them.

Opord: 1-93 TFR. Date Time: 272015 August 93

1. Situation
Adid's financial chief, Osman Otto, operates a warehouse in Mog. where they are outfitting pickup trucks with .50 caliber machine guns that pose a threat to UNOSOM II forces.

Weather: High clouds, Low light.
Terrain: Urban
Enemy: Intel places guards at the perimeters and along your ingress, but no fortified positions. Strong Habr Gedir presence. Posibility of reinforcements from neighbouring areas. Guard and protect possible access routes.

2. Mission
Who: Ranger Platoons 2 and 3
What: Insert by Humvee, locate garage and destroy technicals inside.
When: 2015 hours (Dusk) depart Task Force Ranger base at Mogadishu Airport.

3. Execution
Commander's Intent: Secure and destroy technicals. All forces return to base.
Concept of Operation: Two teams of Rangers will infil and make the final assault on foot along route Red. Teams will get as deep into enemy territory as possible before enemy can raise the alarm.
Coordinating Instructions: Platoon 4 will extract all personnel once action on the objective is complete.

4. Service and Support
Basic Load: M16, M9 Beretta, Satchel Charges, Night Vision Goggles.
