Bluecanvas and thatgamecompany partnered to release a look at the art behind the award winning video game, Journey. The book reveals the earliest ideas and designs for the stunning environments and the unnamed traveller that navigates the desserts, mountain, and more of game.
The Art of Journey was written by Matt Nava, the Art Director, who gives details on the goals and influences when creating the game. The hardcover features concept art, storyboards and 3D models of Journey, as well as a unique augmented reality feature that allows readers to have the designs jump out of the page on their mobile screen using the Daqri app.
