Hello Knit Lovers!
Here is my new dog onesie sweater with a collar!
I will knit this sweater without my dog's help, just measure my dog and do the math!
And it fits him prefect!

** Attention **
I skipped the math part in this written pattern because I used my math gauge template.

YARN: LION BRAND HEARTLAND 5 OZ / 142 G, 251 YD / 230 M – I used ¾ skein of yarn each color
NEEDLE: 4 & 5 MM
SWATCH & GAUGE: 4” X 4” = 18 STS X 24 ROWS
[DOG INFORMATION]
YORKIE 10 YEARS OLD, 10 LB
[MEASUREMENT PLAN]
NECK CIRCUMFERENCE: ACTUAL 9” → 12” → 54 STS
NECK LENGTH: 3” → 18 ROWS
LENGTH FROM BOTTOM NECK TO TOP OF FRONT LEG: 3” → 18 ROWS
CHEST CIRCUMFERENCE: 15” → 68 STS → INCREASE 1 ST EVERY 4 STS BEFORE LEG OPENING
LENGTH FROM FRONT LEG TO FRONT END WITHOUT RIB: 4.5” → 27 ROWS
LENGTH FROM BOTTOM NECK TO BACK END WITHOUT RIB: 13” → 78 ROWS
FRONT LEG WITH RIB: 3” → 18 ROWS
BACK LEG WITH RIB: 5” → 30 ROWS
CAST ON: 54 or Multiple of 2
NECK RIB: (K1, P1) until your desire length, for me 18 row total
Change the needle from 4 mm to 5 mm
BODY: ALL KNIT about 1” = Your timing is good
[LEASH OPENING]
Whenever you want to create the leash opening, add 2 markers right in the center of the back.
For me, 6 STS
Bind these 6 STS off, and in next row, add new cast 6 STS (Same STS count as your BIND OFF)
[INCREASING FOR THE CHEST]
Based on my math, I increase 14 STS in 1 row, 1 ST every 4 STS with M1L
Keep knitting after increasing until your desire length for the leg opening.
[LEG OPENING]
The method is same as the leash opening.
Whenever you reach, add 4 markers for both legs, then do the same thing as leash opening.
After leg opening has done, keep knitting until your desire length for the front PS.
Make sure there is some spaces for RIB
When you knit enough length for the front, transfer all the front PS STS onto the scrap yarn.
And keep knitting for the back PS in flat until your desire length
Make sure there is some spaces for RIB
[HIND LEG SLEEVE]
Divide 3 parts at the end of the back PS, for me (6 STS, 29 STS, 6 STS)
Right Side of Leg: Transfer 6 STS, and Knit up on the side of the back PS (18 STS)
(Knit 3 up, 1 skip)
Knit these 24 STS in flat for about 1.5” worth, for me 9 rows.
On RS, add 18 new casts then start knitting in round until your desire length.
Then, add RIB (K1, P1) until your desire length, BIND OFF with 1 size bigger needle.
Left Side of Leg: Knit up on the side of the back PS (18 STS), and transfer 6 STS, then cut the yarn.
Attach the new yarn on WS, then start knitting exactly same as the other leg.
[TUMMY INSIDE RIB]
Start knitting up at right after existing STS, then knit wherever STS exist in round.
(Knit 3 up, 1 skip), and K over existing stitches
(K1, P1) until your desire length, and BIND OFF with 1 size bigger needle.
[REAR LEG SLEEVE]
Knit up around the leg, knit until your desire length, and add RIB (K1, P1) until your desire length, and BIND OFF with 1 size bigger needle.
[COLLAR]
Knit up round, and KNIT 1 row, K1 (K1, P1), K2 in flat & from 2nd row, K over K & P over P until your desire length
BIND OFF with 1 size bigger needle.
[BOW TIE]
In knitting: just knit a rectangle, then wrap many around in the center of the rectangle.
In Crochet:
Magic Loop, CH4, Triple crochet X 5, and CH4, SL ST into the magic loop, then
CH4, Triple crochet X 5, and CH4, SL ST into the magic loop
Close the magic loop, then wrap many around in the center of the tie
