Abby Lee Miller, the renowned dance educator and television personality from Dance Moms, opens up about her powerful journey as a cancer survivor. 💖
After being misdiagnosed six times, Abby was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma, an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma that severely impacted her spinal cord. Emergency surgery left her paralyzed from the neck down, and she spent nearly 10 months in the hospital and rehabilitation centers fighting to regain basic motor skills while undergoing chemotherapy.
During this time, Abby was unable to work or create, facing 18+ months without income. That’s when Dancers Against Cancer (DAC) stepped in. With the support of Michelle Rogers and JoJo Siwa, DAC presented Abby with a $10,000 donation that helped her through her most difficult days.
Today, Abby Lee Miller continues to give back to DAC and uses her platform to spread hope, support, and awareness for dancers and families battling cancer.
