Medibank CEO flags data breach is ‘now including Medibank customer data’

Описание: Medibank CEO David Koczkar has flagged the cyber-attack involves “more than the ahm international students’ data” and is “now including Medibank customer data”.

“This is a malicious attack that’s deliberate and has been designed to cause maximum harm and uncertainty, particularly to vulnerable people,” Mr Koczkar told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.

Mr Koczkar said, “it has come to light” that the data Medibank “received back from this criminal” potentially includes Medibank customer data.

“Given that fact that it’s more than the ahm international students’ data, it’s now including Medibank customer data,” he said.

Mr Koczkar said his priority is to “communicate to everyone” about the status of the cyberattack.
