Seen here is New Flyer XD60 "Xcelsior" Artic 6001 operating on the Q44 +Select Bus Service+ to Jamaica(it had the wrong program on) making its way through Queens Blvd.
This bus does not have the Hanover destination signs that everyone is accustomed to. These have Aesys multicolored destination signs as a test, or at least I would think its a test. Why does it have them? I would think its because since they are no longer getting Luminator(and Axion/Twinvision) destination signs, they are trying out alternatives.
