Racism and Real Estate… Why Foreign Buyers Were Never The Problem

And it’s not the foreign investor’s fault…

Canada banned foreign investors in real estate in January 2023. Despite warnings from professionals and experts, they have continued to ban foreign buyers in Canada and will until at least January 2027.

Since that time, housing starts are down, and the shortage of houses has continued to rise…

Unfortunately, people living within Canada are not able to afford a lot of the new builds, especially with condos.

But there still is a market for people to that want to buy them and lots of people that would be willing to rent those condos.

Just like with a business, we constantly need cash infused into the real estate market to help it grow.

That’s what the foreign buyers did for us.

Now this isn’t saying that it’s not an issue that needs to be looked at, but take a look at where we are now and ask yourself if we actually made a good decision back in 2023.

It’s time we all join together and unite to truly address the issue and grow from where we are right now…
