I keep thinking about this…how two people can feel something real, something gentle…and still be pulled apart by old ideas that don’t belong to them. Why do we let other people’s rules decide who we’re allowed to love?Why do we hide our own truth just to make the world comfortable? Love isn’t supposed to be a test. It isn’t supposed to hurt like that. It shouldn’t ask you to become someone else to be worthy. I wish people could just look at each other — not through fear,not through judgement, not through what they were taught to believe…but through the soul.
Just look. See the real person standing there. The light. The wounds. The heart trying so hard to be honest. I wrote this song because…I felt how painful it is when someone looks away from you to look at expectations instead. When they choose “rules” over connection. When they search the sky for answers but won’t look into your eyes. All I wanted to say was…See me.Not the version your fears created. Just me. Maybe love is simple…and we’re the ones who make it heavy with things that never mattered. I hope this song helps someone take off the weight, open their eyes, and choose the truth that was there all along. Love is freedom. Love is light. And when two lights find each other…
