NEW YORK KNICKS: THE DON CLASS IN SESSION

Описание: The Knicks acquire Jose Alvarado the same week they announce Deuce McBride will have surgery and will be out until the playoffs. Is this coincidence? No, its not. The Don was "checking in" on Alvarado in December once Deuce injured his left ankle. Deuce missed 8 games then came back on 12/29...he played 15 more games and then on 1/28 he was held out for "Left Ankle management".........by that time they already knew what they wanted (Alvarado) and needed to determine the recovery period for Deuce (which is 12 weeks on the outside but could be shorter). None of this information was leaked (as the Don keeps plans close to the vest) in order to not allow anybody (especially the Pels) to think the Knicks were desperate. They were never really going to make a serious offer for Giannis as that would require dismantling at championship roster. But they let speculation run rampant as (behind the scenes) they did recovery valuations on Deuce and trade possibilities of Yabusele as well as price points for Alvarado.
This week it all came together and the Don got his guy (Alvarado), cleaned up his mistake (Yabusele) and got a timeline for the return of Deuce. With the Don, if it doesn't make sense (trading for Giannis) he ain't doing it. Long term is more valued than clickbait and short-sightedness is avoided. Pay attention, class was just in session.
