This video shows one way of creating custom geology symbols to use in QGIS.
Scalable Vector Graphics (.svg) for bedding, joints and lineations are used as examples but the principle can be applied for any other symbols that you require.
To learn how to apply your custom svg images in QGIS see this video • Geological symbols such as strike and dip ...
Inkscape is used for the svg files but other applications could be used instead.
QGIS (a free and open source geographic information system) - https://www.qgis.org/
Inkscape (a free and open-source vector graphics editor) - https://inkscape.org/
The Windows path to put your svg files, as mentioned in the video is
C:\Program Files\QGIS 3.24.2\apps\qgis\svg\geology
This will vary depending on the version of QGIS you have and what operating system you are using. If would like to contribute example paths for MacOS or Linux please do so in the comments.
