I have never liked the word diet, but the word "diet" sells books, programs, and magazines right? So many of us want a quick fix and that is human nature. However, "diets" typically require us to change our course of eating temporarily, and often drastically, to lose weight. Yes, this often works. However, once we go back to our "normal" eating we gain the weight back. Then we go on a "diet" again, right? Wouldn't it be much better to change the way we eat so we lose the weight and keep it off? So many of us are afraid that if we "change" the way we eat, we won't be able to eat our favorite cheat meals again. This is not true. We can change our way of eating but still indulge here and there, we just have to be mindful. We need to change our lifestyle.
