Küçüksu denince akla ilk gelen yer elbette Küçüksu Kasrı. 19. yüzyılda Osmanlı döneminde, Sultan Abdülmecid tarafından yaptırılmış bu zarif yapı, aslında büyük bir saraydan çok bir dinlenme köşkü. Yani padişahların Boğaz havası almak, av sonrası dinlenmek için kullandıkları özel bir yer. Mimarisine yaklaştığınızda o ince işlemeleri, zarafeti ve detayları gerçekten hissediyorsunuz.

Biz gittiğimizde kasrın içi kapalıydı ama açıkçası dışarıdan bile o tarihi dokuyu görmek yetiyor. Çünkü Küçüksu sadece bir yapı değil, bir atmosfer. Deniz kenarında oturup Boğaz’dan geçen gemileri izlemek, çay bahçesinde sakin sakin oturmak… İstanbul’un kalabalığından bir adım uzaklaşıp nefes almak gibi.

Burada en çok sevdiğim şey şu: Gürültü yok. Koşuşturma yok. Sadece deniz, martılar ve Boğaz’ın o kendine has huzuru var. Bir yanda tarih, bir yanda yaşayan İstanbul. Hem geçmişi hissediyorsunuz hem de bugünün içindesiniz.

İstanbul’un içinde ama İstanbul’un karmaşasından uzak bir yer arıyorsanız, Küçüksu gerçekten özel bir durak. Ben her gelişimde aynı huzuru hissediyorum.

Today I’m taking you to one of the most elegant corners of Istanbul: Küçüksu. Located on the Asian side of the Bosphorus, this place has a calming atmosphere that immediately softens your soul.

When you hear Küçüksu, the first thing that comes to mind is Küçüksu Pavilion. Built in the 19th century during the Ottoman era by Sultan Abdülmecid, this elegant structure is not a grand palace but rather a resting pavilion. It was used by the sultans as a private retreat to relax and enjoy the Bosphorus breeze, especially after hunting trips. When you look closely at the architecture, you can truly feel the fine details and delicate craftsmanship.

When we visited, the pavilion was closed inside. But honestly, even seeing it from the outside is enough to feel its historical presence. Because Küçüksu is not just a building — it’s an atmosphere. Sitting by the sea, watching the ships pass through the Bosphorus, enjoying a quiet moment at the tea garden… it feels like stepping away from the chaos of Istanbul and simply breathing.

What I love most about this place is the silence. There’s no rush, no noise. Just the sea, the seagulls, and the peaceful rhythm of the Bosphorus. On one side, you feel history. On the other, you experience the living, breathing city of today.

If you’re looking for a place that is in Istanbul but away from its crowds, Küçüksu is truly a special stop. Every time I come here, I feel the same sense of calm.
