The Central Water and Power Research Station (CWPRS) hosts India’s first state-of-the-art meteorological sensor calibration facility, a world-class laboratory complex redefining precision in environmental monitoring. Operating in alignment with ISO 17025:2017 standards, this CWPRS facility provides NIST/NPL traceable calibration for sensors measuring air temperature, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure, and rainfall. It features advanced automation capable of calibrating up to 45 sensors simultaneously, achieving an incredible resolution of 0.001￮c in specialized liquid baths. By offering unique services like sensor survivability testing and customized client training, CWPRS ensures a reliable "fundamental backbone" for India’s water and weather sectors.
