Sand and dune driving is the most dangerous when the wild is blowing and lifting the sand. The floating layer of sand hides all the dips, bumps and dangerous obstacles out of sight.
You can't see the crest of the dune and the risk of overshooting is much higher. Francois from @allterrain4x4.co.za explains to us how to safely navigate the dunes. Don't use harsh breaking, steer down the down at an 90' angle and keep the wheel straight. Gentle drive down the dune to avoid the rear from stepping out. All key factors to drive safely in the dune and sandy environments!
