The purge of Stratholme, the culling of Stratholme - it is one of the most tragic and iconic events in all of Warcraft history. A desperate act committed by an even more desperate prince of Lordaeron. Heavily opposed by the Silver Hand, Uther and most of the army yet a necessary sacrifice.

However, was Statholme truly a necessary sacrifice or was there some other way as Uther said?

I discuss what were the actual options available, what could be done and how it could have turned out differently. Was Arthas right to purge Stratholme or was it just a mindless monstrosity? Was Uther right to abandon Arthas or did he just not have the guts to do what the prince of Lordaeron had to do?
