The Man About Town is a riff on the Boulevardier (which is similar to a Negroni but is made with a bourbon or rye whiskey instead of gin) by the Gramercy Tavern in NYC. The rye is the hero backed up with bittersweet amaro, Cynar.
Note: I mentioned that the Boulevardier was a 'twist' on a Negroni.. I meant to imply it was similar but not derived from a Negroni. The Boulevardier actually predates the Negroni by 20 years.

INGREDIENTS
60ml Rye Whiskey (2 oz)
30ml Sweet Vermouth (1 oz)
30ml Cynar (1 oz)
METHOD
1. Combine the ingredients into your mixing glass
2. Stir with ice for 30-45 seconds
3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass
4. Garnish with a maraschino cherry
