3 Levels of Turkey Sandwiches

Level 1: The Construction Worker's Favorite
Slices of white bread get some mayo, yellow mustard, some processed cheese, and some packaged turkey slices.

We all know how this one tastes, so let's make it better. 

Level 2: The Good Homemade Sandwich
Grill up some multigrain bread and spread one side with mayo and the other with grainy or Dijon mustard. Top with fresh lettuce, tomatoes seasoned with salt and pepper, cheddar cheese, thick-sliced turkey, and a couple of strips of bacon. 

Now this is one great sandwich, but we can still make it better. 

Level 3: The Homemade Monte Cristo
Mix up a couple of eggs, vanilla, and milk before drenching some brioche bread slices. 

Butter a griddle and start making your French toast. After you flip, lay on slices of Swiss and cheddar cheese and let it melt. 

Generously layer on some top-tier turkey slices and some raspberry jam. I also like adding some of my favorite raspberry, black cherry, and blood orange preserves before sprinkling everything with powdered sugar.

If you've never had a Monte Cristo, this is your sign to make it. It's so rich, so delicious, and the perfect balance of sweet and savory.
