In the next step in the rough running saga - I admit the #wiringloom in the #engine needs to come out.
So I work through taking it out, only to make one significant error. And a smaller error just to top it off.
Note - check, double check, and triple check your new loom for all the connectors.
Note 2 - don't cut your old loom!
It turns out #Mercedes in the early 1990s decided that biodegradable wiring was a good idea - not realising that 30 years and 120-odd thousand miles would see the loom unfit for purpose.
Top tip - if you're buying any #Merc of this era, #w124 or otherwise, check whether the loom has been replaced.
