I set out to ride the Indian Chief, loaned to me by Indian Motorcycle, and run the gas tank dry to to test the range. After finishing and on the side of the road, I experienced the best gas mileage on a motorcycle I've had to date. The pressing question I had, which spans personal riding habits, is how many miles on a single tank is enough? How far will you ride on your motorcycle until you stop for a break regardless on how many miles left in the tank are possible?
