I Have Owned the 2024 Colorado Trail Boss for 20K Miles. Here's the Verdict.

I’ve owned this truck through every season 🌄❄️☀️ and used it for towing, hauling, off-roading, overlanding, and regular driving. After 20,000 miles, I’ve got a clear picture of what the Colorado Trail Boss does well — and where it deserves honest discussion.

🔧 Reliability & Ownership at 20K Miles
Overall, ownership has been solid. The truck has been to the dealership twice for warranty-related visits:
• Around 10,000 miles, a P0641 code caused by a frayed wire ⚡
• An early visit for a noise likely related to the high-pressure fuel pump, common with turbo direct-injection engines

I also talk openly about:
• Electrical concerns seen across the platform

At the end of the video, I take the Colorado Trail Boss onto Jawbone Trail, part of Spearhead Trails near Richlands, VA 🌲. With snow on the ground ❄️, the trail was tight, slick, and technical in spots — but the truck never got stuck. Proper tires and 4WD made the difference.
Compared to my previous Jeep Wrangler, this truck has proven to be more versatile, offering real off-road capability while still being able to haul, tow, and handle daily life.
