Peated single malt matured in Virgin Oak casks and received a finish in Bordeaux red wine casks, while triple distilled single malt was aged in first fill bourbon casks and finished in Ruby Port casks. From a total of six casks that the urbane distillers blended together in late 2022, 1,925 bottles were bottled at 57.5% vol. without cold filtration and in natural color.
The 1770 Glasgow 2018/2022 - Red Wine & Ruby Port Cask Finish is the Glaswegians' most experimental release to date: for the first time, two styles of spirits were combined, each having undergone two different maturation processes.
Today, Glasgow Distillery is one of only a few urban distilleries in Scotland dedicated to the production of single malt whisky. And it does so independently, innovatively, with five copper pot stills of German manufacture and the finest Scottish barley.
