In this video I've used quite a bit of the works of Eadweard Muybridge (9 Apr 1830 - 8 May 1904).
Born Edward James Muggeridge, he was an English photographer known for his pioneering
work in photographic studies of motion, & early work in motion-picture projection.
Muybridge invented the zoopraxiscope in 1879, a device that is credited as the first moving
picture projector. Operating with rotating glass discs, the zoopraxiscope projected images
onto each other in rapid succession, creating the illusion of movement.
In effect he created stop-motion animation, making many short films (or studies)
for the remainder of his years, until his death in 1904.

He was not a Futurist of course, but it's difficult not to draw the conclusion that he was
an inspiration to the movement which followed just a few short years after his death.

Also, although not featured in the song, mention should be made of Anton Giulio Bragaglia's 'Fotodinamismo Futurista' which also imbued still photographs with a sense of motion,
an important theme of the Futurist movement.
