Liberal senator Michaelia Cash repeatedly asked Foreign Minister Penny Wong if she would welcome Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Australia during a Senate committee.
Wong refused to answer on grounds that the question was hypothetical and advised Cash to “dial down the temperature”.
Cash pointed out the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu but said a Dutton government would not arrest him.
