Swati Maliwal Targets Kejriwal Over Yamuna Pollution | Backs Delhi Govt's Cleanup Mission

Maliwal said that the cleanup drive began early in the morning and that large quantities of garbage, particularly plastic waste, had been removed from the riverbanks. She highlighted the construction of sewage treatment plants, decentralized treatment facilities, drain-cleaning initiatives, and monitoring mechanisms aimed at improving the condition of the Yamuna.

In a sharp political attack, Maliwal alleged that during the 10-year tenure of former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Yamuna deteriorated into a sewage drain. She further claimed that, during her tenure as Chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women, she was not aware of any meeting held by Kejriwal specifically on Yamuna cleanup.
