Theft from Till, Holland and Barrett, Market Street

Описание: Police have released CCTV images of a man and woman who strolled into a busy high street store and brazenly stole money from the tills.

At around 2.55pm on 6th April 2015, a man and woman entered the Holland and Barrett shop on Market Street in Manchester and walked towards the back wall.

They approached the secondary till area, pretending to look at the merchandise nearby while actually looking around for any staff nearby.

While the woman kept watch, the man crept behind the un-manned tills and used an unknown tool to force open the till.

Having snatched £150 from the till, the pair walked calmly back out the main entrance.

The first offender is described as male, between 27 and 30 years old, around 6ft tall, with slim athletic build. He was wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jeans, a dark cap and was carrying a grey Puma rucksack.

The second offender is described as female, white, early to mid-20s, around 5ft 5in tall and of medium build. She was wearing a high ponytail, black and white leggings and a furry brown gillet.

Constable Kat Brophy said: “We are hopeful that the public can really assist with this investigation, as the pictures are of good quality and we hope that someone will recognise one or both of them.

“They are completely brazen, walking into a busy store in the middle of the day and even speaking to a member of staff before forcing open a till at the back of shop.

“Luckily they did not get away with much, but theft is theft and we hope that the public can help us bring this pair to justice.”
