Rally Portugal is one of the most prestigious and oldest rallies on the WRC calendar, first appearing way back in 1973. It also boasts one of the most famous stages to grace the World Championship: Fafe. Let's take a look at the top 5 things you need to know about this stunning stage:
Rally History: Fafe has survived the transition of time. It has seen the infamous Group B cars in all their ultimate glory, and now stands as the modern-day power stage, providing a thrilling finish to the rally.
Fans' Paradise: When you think of Fafe, you think of thousands and thousands of fans. The hillsides overlooking the sweeping bends are crammed with people, creating an incredible stadium-like atmosphere. There is nowhere better to be on the final day.
Flying Finish: The Fafe Stage is famous for its finish, with a massive jump and that is what the crowds flock to see. For years, the drivers have demonstrated their unerring courage as they tackle this spectacular jump with one thing in mind: maximum air.
