Cale's favorite build for the Big Dripper Version 2 is a simple build with 24 gauge kanthal wire. It is a 6 wrap, single coil build. He uses cotton for the wicking material. He says simple/basic builds work best with the Authentic Big Dripper V2.

Cale places the coil right in front of the air hole as that gives the most vapor and flavor. Cale also spreads the coils instead of pinching them together as that spreads out the heat and makes it less likely to burn the wick/cotton. Make sure there is airflow underneath, on top of and in back of the coil. The way the Authentic Big Dripper V2 was designed, it directs airflow directly onto the coil. This will give you the best flavor and vapor production.
