Son of former president Alberto Fujimori suspended by Congress

Описание: (7 Jun 2018) Kenji Fujimori, the most voted legislator in Peru and the youngest son of former president Alberto Fujimori, was suspended of his parliamentary privileges in a questionable vote largely by the members of the party led by his elder sister Keiko Fujimori.
"I want to address my sister Keiko and say congratulations, here is my head on a platter," said the youngest of the Fujimori. Kenji Fujimori spoke on Wednesday night in a press conference at the legislative palace and shortly after the 58 congress votes to suspend him and two other legislators. 67 would be necessary to permanently expel the legislators.
Kenji Fujimori is now temporarily stripped of parliamentary privileges while being investigated by the prosecutor. He is accused of the crime of influence peddling for allegedly trying to buy votes at the beginning of the year to avoid the second attempt of dismissal of then President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski. His older sister Keiko Fujimori, 43, has remained silent.
Kenji, 37, and several congressmen around him had also helped in late December to avoid Kuczynski's presidential dismissal for his alleged links to the construction company Odebrecht. Days later on the eve of Christmas, Kuczynski freed the ex-president Alberto Fujimori from jail, that was the wish of Kenji Fujimori.
Alberto Fujimori had been sentenced to 25 years in prison for his role in the killing of 25 Peruvians durign his administration.
Kuczynski resigned in March and was replaced by the current president Martin Vizcarra.
