The Lily Foundation is a UK charity that supports people affected by mitochondrial diseases, many of whom are extremely vulnerable at this time due to the coronavirus pandemic. Many 'mito' families have children who need 24-hour care and have a reduced capacity to fight infection. Forced to self-isolated to protect their loved ones from contagion, many 'mito' families are facing unprecedented emotional, financial and medical challenges. The support provided by The Lily Foundation has never been more vital.
