How to perform a neurological exam in minutes

Описание: This weeks video is focused on the neurological exam. I found this exam one of the hardest exams to master, in that there are many different routes you can go down to test the same neurologic processes of the body.

So I created my own exam that will cover your basis for almost any neurological complaint. The exam I created will quickly and smoothly test the nervous system of the body, with the added benefit of an easily memorable process.

For example, I don't test my cranial nerves in order because I found my way to run more smoothly for the patient. Furthermore, I tend to do the Romberg and Pronator drift test together to expedite the time it takes me to do the exam.

Some other things I cover are:
How to test all the muscles of the eye based on their mechanism of action.
What to use as a "reflex hammer" when you never seem to have your actual reflex hammer on hand.


And just remember, this is NOT a comprehensive neurological exam. This is the fast and easy way to cover your basis for your everyday neuro complaints.. If you find any deficit at all, further testing is definitely advised to really cover your basis.
