How I Got Started Building an MCP Server

We are completely in the throngs of an Agentic AI hype. Everyone is trying to build their own agentic framework or durable workflow framework to support allowing LLMs to be more useful. One of the technologies that has emerged is the Model Context Protocol. It was released by Anthropic in late 2024 and has recently been gaining ground in adoption amongst other industry players. I figured that it is probably something I should have some familiarity with, so I decided to start building an MCP Server for a public API I'm really familiar with.
