Plainclothes (2025) is a powerful US indie debut from director Carmen Emmi, starring Tom Blyth and Russell Tovey. Set in the late 1990s, the film follows an undercover cop assigned to entrap gay men for indecent exposure—only to find himself forming a dangerous connection with one of his targets.
