Описание: The 40 Hour Famine has always been about living in someone else’s shoes and this year is no different. That’s why this year the children of New Zealand will be living out of their backpack for an entire weekend – to pay homage to the millions of children of Syria who have had to do the same.

While we can’t imagine what it’s like cramming a lifetime into a backpack in just a few minutes, we can do our best to try and spend a weekend in their shoes – and raise much-needed funds to help kids be kids again.

Together, the children of New Zealand will dedicate 40 Hours to help kids like them on the other side of the globe, while raising crucial funds to help restore the things they’ve lost; education, a sense of security and safety and the chance to be kids again.

The funds raised in the 2016 40 Hour Famine will be used to support World Vision’s child-friendly spaces in Jordan. Child-friendly spaces are safe, supportive learning environments where children can play again with other children, participate in art and sport, receive counselling and most importantly can start to attend school again so they can keep learning.
