Rising crude oil prices have sparked fresh concerns about petrol and diesel prices in India. International crude oil prices have crossed $90 per barrel, reaching the highest level in nearly 30 months, raising fears that fuel prices could surge again.

According to market data, Brent crude has climbed to around $94 per barrel while WTI crude has crossed $92 per barrel. Experts believe the ongoing Middle East tensions and supply disruptions through the Strait of Hormuz are major reasons behind the sudden spike in oil prices.

The situation has already started impacting consumers as LPG cylinder prices have increased beyond ₹900 in many parts of India. Analysts warn that if crude oil prices cross $100 per barrel, petrol and diesel prices in India may rise significantly.
