God the Holy Spirit, who overshadowed the Virgin,

Holy Trinity, one God,
have mercy on us.
O Rising Dawn, splendor of eternal light and sun of justice,
Come and enlighten us who sit in darkness.
You who promised a sign to Ahaz: a virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
Come, Lord Jesus.
You who chose Mary as the Immaculate Mother of God,
Come, Lord Jesus.
You who spoke to Joseph in a dream, calming his fears,
Come, Lord Jesus.
You who are Emmanuel, God with us,
Come and dwell among us.
You who fulfill the ancient prophecies,
Come and save your people.
You who bring grace into our hearts through the Angel’s message,
Come, Lord Jesus.
You born of the Virgin in Bethlehem,
Come, Lord Jesus.
You who call us to trust like righteous Joseph,
Come, Lord Jesus.
You who pour forth love in this final week of waiting,
Come, Lord Jesus.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world,
spare us, O Lord.

Let us pray.
Pour forth, we beseech you, O Lord, your grace into our hearts, that we, to whom the Incarnation of Christ your Son was made known by the message of an Angel, may by his Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of his Resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
