Angular, loud, and unapologetically British—the TVR 350i wasn’t built to blend in. It was built to thrill.
Introduced in 1983, the 350i marked a turning point for TVR. Under new ownership, Peter Wheeler wanted more grunt than the Ford V6 could offer. So they dropped in a 3.5-litre Rover V8—and the wedge era roared to life.
With 190 horsepower and a lightweight chassis, the 350i delivered raw performance and a soundtrack that echoed through the hills. It wasn’t refined—but that was the point.
Buyers loved its rebellious spirit. No ABS, no airbags—just you, the road, and a V8 that begged to be pushed.
TVR sold nearly 900 units, making it the most popular wedge model. It laid the foundation for the 390SE, 420SEAC, and eventually the Griffith.
Today, fewer than 20 remain on UK roads. But for those who know, the 350i isn’t just a car—it’s a statement. Loud, proud, and unmistakably TVR.
