Excavated building with frescoes and Latin inscription in the ancient Roman town of Herculaneum / Scavi di Ercolano.
Herculaneum is a smaller compact Pompeii, both places were completely buried in volcanic ash during the eruption of Mt Vesuvius in A.D79.
Around 1800 years would pass before the town was discovered by chance.
