China's homegrown GPU maker MetaX soars 700% on debut

Описание: Shanghai-based GPU maker MetaX Integrated Circuits jumped 700% in its Shanghai market debut on Wednesday. The stock ended at 829.9 yuan ($118) a share, valuing the company at about 332 billion yuan ($47 billion).

Founded just five years ago, MetaX drew massive investor interest for its fully self-developed, general-purpose GPU architecture, seen as a key piece of China’s push for tech self-reliance. Its revenue grew more than 4,000% over three years, with 4 billion yuan raised for next-generation GPU R&D.

Earlier this month, “China’s NVIDIA”, Moore Threads, also debuted on the Shanghai STAR Market, raising over $1.1 billion.
