ok i was listening to line withou a hook and was like, you know who i associate w hooks? jet and his hook swords and this got created.
explanation:
my take on an au where jet lives and joins the gaang. the animatic explores his tumultuous relationship with coming to terms with a peaceful era since all he's ever known is violence and anger.
on the day of zuko's coronation, he leaves a letter on the bench by the duckpond and leaves the coronation before anyone notices. jet doesn't feel like he belongs because he has trouble finding peace whereas the rest of the freedom fighters have. he leaves his hook swords to show his attempt at leaving violence behind. zuko finds the letter after and goes to find jet who's gone back to the earth kingdom (ba sing se maybe i haven't decided) and is helping at an orphanage. they talk, jet gets the hug he deserves, and marks the beginning of proper recovery.
