This week, we commemorate Pride Month by telling a love story that is all too familiar: the tale of a child rejected and abandoned by their family, for simply loving the “wrong” person. Despite recent advances in the LGBTQ+ community, many of us who fall in love with individuals of the same sex continue to be shunned, viewed with disgust, and forced to question our worth. The very definition of the word, “Pride” is the feeling of being worthy; our wonderful guest, Kate Austin, reminds each of us that we are, indeed, all worthy of love.
